A deep medium ruby, blood red. Intensity of aroma on the nose, revealing gooseberry, tomato sauce, cedar, unripe strawberries and raspberries, and brown sugar. My mouth is already watering. Nearly full bodied, formidable acid, beefy tannin and very dry. The palate elaborates the nose with dark cherries, raspberries, blackberries, white pepper, and just the faintest hint of caramel. Very long finish of muted brown sugar.
