2018 is a vintage that will go down in history in Bordeaux. Since the heatwave of 2003, a few hot vintages have followed, and 2018 is no exception. These high temperatures have enabled grapes’ optimum ripeness and produced wines that are digestible when fermentation is properly mastered. In our opinion, 2018 is the first very hot vintage where Bordeaux has produced high quality across the board. Abundant fruit, elegance, power and excellent ageing potential are all on the cards. On the south side of Saint Emilion, the château benefits from an exceptional terroir. We love the fresh and elegant style of these wines, with the 2018 a perfect example.
