Domaine Joseph Colin Saint Aubin 1Er Cru Remilly
(0pts)
En Remilly is the highest-rated first growth in the village. This wine is a blend of En Remilly and Les Cortons from the sub-region. Obvious citrus aroma and minerality, the taste is full of fresh flavor brought by minerality, and the sufficient acidity like lime forms a delicate and long finish.
Grape variety : 100% Chardonnay.
Terroir : Saint Aubin is a value-for-money village that has been spread by word of mouth among wine lovers in recent years. It is located on the slopes of the anticlinal valley between Puligny Montrachet and Chassagne Montrachet. The calcareous white clay soil is very suitable for the growth of Chardonnay grapes. It often has elegant aromas such as white flowers, flint, green almonds, and orange blossoms. It has sharp acidity and displays aromas such as beeswax, marzipan, and cinnamon over time.
Brewing : Joseph, who grew up in vineyards, analyzes the soil and rock differences in different vineyards and insists on low yields to produce wines with more concentrated flavors. The style has pure and transparent acidity and minerality, and is harmonious and full of vitality when used with high-quality oak barrels.
