TASTING NOTES:
Aroma: Wood smoke and ash top notes; Guava; chrysanthemum tea; American ginseng; maltose; earthy, damp soil and petrichor.
Palate: Medium-bodied; less fruity than the nose; wood smoke and ash hover incessantly in the background; apple juice; chrysanthemum tea; American ginseng; ginger candy; toasted malt; some vanilla cream on the back-palate.
Finish: Short; hints of licorice; the wood tannins are more apparent here; more wood smoke to accompany the astringent tannins; the aftertaste is dirty, with notes of peat and olive brine.
